Are you an individual who enjoys working night and weekend shifts? Do you have prior experience working on the line in a fine dining establishment? Have you prepared meals for weddings, anniversary parties or large events in general? Would you describe yourself as creative and dependable?
If you answered YES to the above questions, you may be the Evening Line/Event Cook Boffins Public House is recruiting for!
This is typically a Monday - Friday position (with the occassional weekend shift thrown in)that is responsible for serving up the delicious dinner selections at Boffins Public House (located at Innovation Place).
Key responsibilities include:
- stocking and preparing the evening line for service
- involvement in menu planning and design
- assisting, where required, on any catering/event services
- food costing for line items
- any another duties as required by your manager
Qualifications & Skills
- 2-4 years experience as a line cook
- past experience in a fine dining restaurant is a bonus
- skill with meats, seafoods, proteins, soups/sauces and vegetable preparation
- creative flair for creating new and unique dishes
- menu and recipe design experience
- ability to work independently
- excellent time management and organizational skills
- ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- aptitude for providing excellent customer service
- team player
