The primary purpose of this position is to operate various pieces of bindery equipment in a high production environment including but not limited to the cutter, folder, stitcher, perfect binder, laminator, autopunch/coil/wiro and envelope inserters.
Responsibilities:
Setup and operation of bindery equipment to finish print production jobs to specifications provided on production dockets
Accountable for accuracy of bindery functions performed but is also responsible to ensure that the print quality and accuracy of printed products provided to the bindery department will meet or exceed client expectations
Responsible for daily care and maintenance of all bindery equipment
Maintain inventory of bindery and shipping supplies
Keep plant clean
Follow Health and Safety policies and procedures
Assist in other departments as needed and all other duties assigned by lead hands
