Description

The Locum will practice in various rural communities within the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. The positions home base will be out of Shellbrook. The position requires someone who is flexible and willing to travel to different communities within PAPHR. SMA rates will apply for travel reimbursement.

The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is located over the geographic centre of Saskatchewan. The largest centre in the region is Prince Albert with a population of about 45,000 people and services a catchment area of about 80,000 plus in northern and northeast Saskatchewan. There are many acreages, farms, lakes and outdoor camping sites, and the natural setting of Prince Albert National Park. We are blessed with a wealth of summer and winter activities hosted in well groomed city parks, golf courses, and sport facilities, and you are only minutes away from the best resorts in Saskatchewan.

To be eligible to participate in the Rural Locum Program, you must hold certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) or have successfully completed SIPPA and be eligible for a license to practice family medicine in Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate(s) will also have ALCS training.
