Description

To manage the support services of the University Library including supervision of 4 full-time employees and overseeing many facets of services relating to the day-to-day operations of the University Library Deans Office.

Reporting to the Director, Financial & Physical Resources, this position also has a close working relationship with the Director, Library Human Resources. This position requires independent problem solving, sound judgment and discretionary decision making, and excellent attention to detail. The incumbent interacts with library employees, university administrators, and relevant professional/industry agencies and organizations and is required to develop and maintain a high degree of professionalism and collegiality. Managing competing demands is the norm, and the standard for the quality of work and timely completion of work is high. Effective professional relationships that support collaboration and problem solving are essential for success in this position. Broad guidance from the supervisor is provided to determine appropriate actions for more complex tasks and decisions.
