Description

Seymour Pacific Developments Ltd. is busy development company with operations throughout Western Canada.  Our team is growing once again and we are seeking a Shipper Receiver to join us.  

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Western Canada Project Manager, and Purchasing, the Shipper/Receiver will co-ordinate shipping and receiving of SPD supply only product, and identify back orders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Follows inspection procedures to ensure the condition and specifications of the goods are as ordered
    * Prepares appropriate receiving reports to document proof of delivery, short shipments, over shipments, and damages or discrepancies
    * If noted damages or discrepancies, notify Site Super, and Purchasing
    * Prepares appropriate shipping documents
    * Match packing slips with SPD purchase Orders
    * Forwards copies of receiving and shipping documents to RRL, and/or SPD Head Office Accounting
    * Work with fleet on fuel monitoring
    * Concrete delivery co-ordination and recording
    * Monitor inbound/outbound rentals with Purchasing Dept.
    * Liaison for RRL shipments
    * Manage site inventory and waste, including Sea Cans
    * Mobilization of product
    * Inventory product at start up and shut down of each site
    * Set up of sign out sheets for inventory
    * Submit monthly inventory lost of product on site to Site Super and Purchasing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    * Required to be self-motivated, good people skills are a must
    * Ability to assess a situation and find the logical answer
    * Detail oriented and organized, with excellent follow up skills
    * Self-starter who enjoys responsibility and accountability
    * Decision making skills, strong communication skills, by telephone or in person
