Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education, Training & Employment Branch is now accepting applications for the following full-time position based out of the Education Boarding Home in Air Ronge:

BOARDING HOME PARENT
The purpose of the position is to assist in the development, implementation, and coordination of programs and functions related to sports and recreation. This position reports to Student Services, Education, LLRIB.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing a safe, caring home for boarding home students;
- Implementing Boarding Home policy;
- Providing meals according to Boarding Home policy and schedules;
- Must live in the home 6 days a week (Sunday -Friday), 24 hours a day;
- Responsible for the fiscal and physical resources in the boarding home;
- Be willing to travel to scheduled appointments;
- Advise students on hygiene;
- Ensure students attend school regularly.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in Group Home setting preferable;
- Honest, caring and patient;
- Act as a role model in healthy lifestyles;
- Good oral communication skills;
- Be able to plan menus and cook healthy meals;
- Good written skills and ability to prepare monthly reports;
- Hold a valid First Aid/CPR certificate;
- Have a valid class 5 driver-s license and access to a reliable vehicle is preferred;
- Be willing to work assigned flexible hours (including evenings and weekends) as required.
