The Rural Municipality of Moose Range No. 486 is accepting applications for the position of a full time operator to operate a Grader, backhoe, loader, highway tractor and trailer and to perform other duties as assigned by the Council. This applicant must be self motivated and will assist in the maintenance of the road network. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package after the applicable probationary period had been completed. The duties include but are not limited to the following:
Operate above equipment as assigned by Council.
Operator must report any unsafe or dangerous road conditions to administration.
Performance of all daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
Responsible for general care and maintenance of equipment and must inform administrator of any necessary major repairs.
Operator must keep work area clean and safe.
Hours of operation are as required and may include some weekends.
Other duties as required.
The preferred candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Heavy Powered Mobile Equipment Operator Competency Certificate.
Minimum Class 3A license required but a 1A driver's license will be an asset.
Clean driver's abstract.
Strong communication skills
Must be able to work independently and within a team.
Experience operating graders, loaders & above equipment in a municipal environment will be an asset.
