Description

Prairie Machine & Parts Mfg. Partnership is internationally recognized as a leading manufacturer of heavy industrial machinery and machine components. PM&P is a full service machine shop, welding & fabrication shop and heavy industrial assembly shop located in Saskatoon Saskatchewan.
Primary Job Duties
  Specify components and design electrical schematics for mining equipment and/or other industrial machines.  
  Create accurate drawings and BOMs using Autodesk Electrical.
  Ability to create complex automation solutions using a variety of instrumentation, PLC & HMI solutions.
  Assist Sales, Electrical, Mechanical & Assembly departments in the design of heavy-duty machines.
  Manage the technical documentation of the department according to departmental procedures.
  Initiate and contribute to the continuous improvement of the product to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  Travel to commission new equipment installations.

Qualifications
  Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as specified in the primary job duties.
  Electrical Engineering degree with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience as specified in the primary job duties.
  Experience working in an Autodesk environment (AutoCAD Electrical and Vault) considered an asset.
  Experience working with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE and/or IFM PLC & HMI solutions considered an asset.
  Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  Have the ability to plan, organize and execute with a strong attention to detail.
  Good communication and presentation skills, self-confidence and assertiveness.
  Ability to handle change and a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
  Demonstrates the ability to achieve results through teamwork.
