We are currently accepting applications for a Sewing/Quilting Machine Mechanic at our Regina, SK Factory located at 1055 MacKay Street.
Any previous work or apprentice experience in the mattress manufacturing, bedding, textile or industrial sewing industry is an asset.
The Sewing/Quilting Machine Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, installing, repairing, servicing and troubleshooting sewing machines, quilting machines, tape edge machines and other industrial production machinery in the plant . Duties include: performing routine maintenance, cleaning and oiling moving parts, inspecting machines and equipment to identify the cause of breakdowns or defects, determining the cause of operator errors and taking corrective action and assisting in other departments as required.
Qualifications:
Experience as a sewing machine mechanic preferred or 1-2 years previous maintenance mechanic experience required for applicants with no prior sewing/quilting machine mechanic experience
Knowledge of sewing machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
Ability to read, write & speak English (functional level required)
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under minimal supervision
Ability to take direction and perform tasks within specified time frames
Ability to see details at close range
Ability to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects
Must be able to work at heights

Ability to work overtime as required
Compensation
$18 to $20 per hour to start
Extended Health Benefits upon completion of 3 months of employment (Medical, Dental, Vision, Rx, Life Insurance, LTD, AD&D)
Hours of Work:
Monday Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Overtime required as production demands (afternoon/evenings and/or weekends)
