CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY at AGRICULTURE IN THE CLASSROOM CANADA
Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) Canada is a newly formed not-for-profit organization with a mission to work together to enhance the knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of agriculture in everyday life. AITC Canada provides a platform for member organizations and partners to facilitate sharing of best practices, collaborate to develop and deliver national resources and programs, and enhance professional development opportunities to further agriculture awareness across the country.

Immediate opening for a Fund Development Manager to lead the fundraising initiatives and establish relationships with key stakeholders, enabling AITC Canada to go the next level.
Working closely with the AITC Canada board of directors, the candidate will need to meet/exceed funding goals through strategic cultivation of new and vibrant relationships. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate the AITC Canada mandate with the energy, vision and passion requisite to secure development partnerships at all levels of the sector.
Qualifications:
Academic education and experience to reflect job responsibilities at a senior level
Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills
Experience in developing sponsorship packages
Demonstrated problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated experience in researching/writing proposals and securing support/funding for new ideas and partnerships
CFRE designation and a degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Fund Development an asset
Knowledge of the agriculture and education sectors
Willing to travel across Canada as needed
Ability to work from home office (must supply phone, internet, computer, printer)
Position Type: 6 month part-time contract position, with opportunity to extend
