Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, this position is responsible for the maintenance and effective repair of commercial food and restaurant equipment at various convenience/grocery stores, and quick service and full service restaurants in order to increase customers profitability without disturbing their regular business flow. Essential Job Functions
- Test and repair fountain carbonated beverage (FCB) units, slush & ice cream machines, open & pressure fryers, combination ovens, and Taylor grills.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance procedures
- Provide customers with telephone support for start-up and troubleshooting
- Effectively handle service requests and work orders
- Assess and complete repairs quickly and efficiently
- Source parts information and pricing by quoting repair estimates
- Daily communication with dispatch and service staff via phones, e-mails and faxes
- Equipment installs
- Ability to train other technicians on preventative maintenance and service procedures
Experience:
- Experience with Taylor and Henny Penny equipment a preferable asset
- A valid Class 5 drivers license is required

- Recharge system with refrigerant
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing
- Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
- Measure and lay out reference points for installation
- Install, calibrate and repair control systems
- Install, maintain and repair mobile refrigeration equipment in transport trucks
- Handle, recover and store refrigerants
- Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
