Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, this position is responsible for providing the required maintenance for commercial food and restaurant equipment at various convenience/grocery stores, and quick service and full service restaurants in order to reduce wear and tear of equipment, and limit costly repairs. This position is a perfect opportunity for someone just starting out in the appliance repair or mechanical field, and looking for a long-term, stable, rewarding career.
Essential Job Functions (day to day responsibilities):
- Clean and inspect fountain carbonated units (FCB), and hot food equipment
- Perform on-the-job training tasks when working with a qualified service technician
- Effectively handle service requests and work orders, completing the scheduled maintenance by following guidelines
- Daily communication with dispatch and service staff via phones, e-mails and faxes
- Accurately complete assigned check-lists regarding equipment undergoing preventative maintenance
- Enter parts and service orders on handheld devices
Travel Requirements:
- A valid Class 5 drivers license is required
