We're looking for a machinist's assistant.
Sabre Machining is a small but growing machine shop. We are extremely busy and are currently looking for someone to help our machinists. This is an entry level position and would be suitable for someone who is looking to gain experience in a machine shop setting. A machinist apprenticeship is a possibility for the correct individual. We don't need experience. We can teach you what you need to know. We do need a person who is willing to work hard and has a good head on their shoulders.
Job Duties
-Move material around the shop and yard, and load and unload trucks using a forklift.
-Deburr, clean, label, and pack parts.
-Clean equipment and tidy shop.
-Maintain yard and landscaping including snow clearing and lawn mowing.
-Perform various odd projects as necessary.
-Assist machinists as necessary.
-Perform other duties as necessary.
Job Requirements
-A good natural mechanical aptitude.
-A good attitude, willingness to learn, and punctual.
-A class 5 driver's license would be considered an asset.
