Under direction of the Head Office Business Development, Marketing and Safety Manager this position will:
1. Work with site Department Managers to ensure that weekly Job Task Observations, Job Hazard Analysis and inspections are conducted, documented and submitted to Safety Managers on a weekly basis.
2. Ensure that all required documentation for JTOs, JHAs, inspections, any incidents, and all safety related documents are accurately and completely filled in by Department Managers and employees, then submitted to Head Office within the required timelines.
3. Provide training, orientation and coaching on ACLPs safety program and Safetys roles and responsibilities.
4. Work with the Department Managers to compile all training information and submit an updated training matrix to Safety Managers and Division Managers weekly.
5. Assist with claims management and incident investigation for the assigned workplaces.
6. Evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards.
7. Ensure all site day-to-day activities, from a safety perspective, complies with all sound business Practice, legislations, regulations, by-laws, policies and procedures.
8. Assists with researching and compiling information on Occupational Health & Safety legislation, Workers compensation on behalf of ACLPs Safety Managers and Business Development, Marketing and Safety Manager. Assist in the preparation of reports and statistics related to the sites
9. Responsible to ensure that site facilities are inspection ready and to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, government regulations and workplace safety, including ensuring that the handling and storage of food and hazardous substances are acceptable.
10. Attend as necessary, client related meetings, training seminars etc.
11. Adhere to Semi-Annual Professional Development and Training plan as approved by Business Development, Marketing and Safety Manager.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
