Our client is one of the largest marketers of fresh and broad-line supply solutions to the convenience retail industry in North America. Our partner offers a full range of products, marketing programs and technology solutions to approximately 24,000 customer locations in Canada. This role is servicing traditional convenience retailers, specialty stores, and other stores that carry convenience products.
The successful candidate will have a home based office in Saskatoon. This territory enjoys a solid customer base as well as significant growth potential. Approximately 20% overnight travel is expected within the province.
The Role:
Visit customers on a regular call cycle performing selling and merchandising functions in the stores
Merchandise products according to planograms areas of the store
Prospect and seek new business opportunities
Work with manager and supply support to Manager to promote programs
Develop and execute an annual sales plan to achieve corporate sales through existing account base and new accounts
Advise accounts of discontinued, inactive and replaced items
File weekly call reports to Manager
Ensure customer satisfaction
The Ideal Candidate:
2+ years industry experience in the sale of consumer products to retail, convenience and grocery mass merchandisers
Extremely Organized
Comfortable cold calling and ability to close the sale
Strong written, communication and presentation skills
High level of professionalism, work ethic and self-motivation
Takes initiative, works independently and is entrepreneurial
Clean drivers record
