Description

Interviews will be conducted in both Regina and Saskatoon.  Position will be in office where the successful candidate resides.

THE ORGANIZATION: The Canadian Paraplegic Association (Sask.) Inc. (CPA) assists persons with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities to achieve independence, self-reliance and full community participation.  

Working together we strive to dismantle misconceptions, stereotypes and generalizations about disabilities.  We believe that with the right supports, people can maximize their abilities and lead fulfilling and productive lives.

SEEKING:  A self-starter with initiative and a desire to lead as part of a team to build organizational capacity in the delivery of programs and services.  

THE POSITION: will lead a small team of employees by developing, implementing, evaluating, and supervising the human resources and program activities in accordance with organizational standards and a focus on achieving outcomes.

THE CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
-    Related degree or certificate with specialization in Human Resources or combined education and experience.  
-    Strong problem solving and group work leadership skills.
-    Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
-    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-    Sound computer skills.
-    Effective oral and written communication skills.
-    Ability to work flexible hours (some evening and weekends).
-    Knowledge of spinal cord injury and other physical disabilities an asset.  
-    Own vehicle, valid drivers license and willing to travel primarily in Saskatchewan.
