Description

To facilitate the exploration and development on potash project, Yancoal Canada Resources Co. Ltd. (YCR) is looking for a project engineer to work in the Engineering & Technical Department. Job Description and position requirements are shown as below:

Responsibility
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Assist to work in the exploration and development of potash project from an engineering & technical standpoint
- Attend engineering & technical related meetings during project development
- Assist to review engineering & technical documents
- Participate in project coordination, engage with the local government, communities and first nations involved in project development, engineering design and environmental assessment
- Assist to communicate and negotiate with stakeholders related to the project
- Prepare project report, project updates/progresses
- Complete other assigned duties

Requirements
- Eligible for membership with APEGS
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical/Mining Engineering or other relevant disciplines is required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mining or engineering design, familiar with mining equipment/surface facilities, adequate knowledge of the codes, standards and process of mining engineering design in Saskatchewan or Canada
- Competent Microsoft Office and project management software application, excellent oral and written communication abilities are essential
- Adaptive to field trips and mine site environment
- Must be a Canadian Citizen
