The Mine General Superintendent is responsible for the overall effective management of all underground production, maintenance, engineering, and training activities to ensure the divisional goals are met in a safe, cost effective, and productive manner. The incumbent is involved in department coordination, budgeting and planning, data and reporting, employee relations, and public relations
The Mine General Superintendent will possess a degree in mine engineering or a related discipline and will be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan. The incumbent will also have a minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in a management role, with a proven capacity to lead people for maximum results. Experience in underground potash mining is preferred. Educational and experience equivalencies will be considered.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
