Description

As Senior IT Architect reporting to the Enterprise Manager of this highly respected investment management firm, you will be responsible for:

-- Maintaining and implementing the Enterprise Architecture (EA) Strategic Plan with a strong emphasis on the architectural domains, frameworks and platforms supporting data and content management, cloud computing, mobile device management, security and infrastructure.
-- Providing "hands on" support including investigating, recommending and prototyping business and technical solutions from the context of a complex and dynamic investment management environment.
-- Participate in various strategic initiatives (requiring architectural roadmaps, alignment exercises, governance programs and product evaluations).
-- Create and interpret architectural models for both business and technical stakeholders.
-- Participate in the assessment and management of operational complexity and risk (requiring application optimization, business process simplification and business continuity planning).

You will quickly learn new architectural approaches and concepts and share that knowledge with colleagues in a constructive and proactive manner. You will adopt an agile philosophy where requirements are emergent.   The team environment is self-organizing and applications are developed in an incremental and interactive manner.

You will bring:
-- Related post-secondary degree.
-- Several years of experience in a significant architectural role.  
-- Experience working with data at an enterprise level (ex:  data hub, data warehouse, an enterprise reporting platform, etc.).  Experience working in a .net environment is a definite asset.
-- Professional and enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills.
-- Solid analytical skills, problem solving skills and ability to develop effective solutions.
