Key Outcomes:
Contribute to the Personal Trust team by completing administration activities according to the EASE Duties Memorandum and posted service standards for accuracy and timeliness by:
- preparing documentation for probate application
- contacting and communicating with lawyers and external parties
- following up as directed on diarized crucial dates and deadlines
- assisting with preparing the statement of assets
- assisting with completing redemption and transfer of assets as requested
- assisting with preparing disbursement requests
- assisting with tax administration as directed i.e. requesting Clearance Certificates from CRA when Notice of Assessment is received
- keeping detailed documentation of all telephone calls
Contribute to the effective and efficient daily functioning of the team/department by:
- assisting, as required with distributing incoming mail, filing, verifying transactions and covering for other team absences
- assist in completing other projects as required
Contribute to enhancing the accuracy, efficiency and timeliness of estate administration services by:
- informing Officers and Administrators of any perceived risks or potential problems with administration or system issues
- identifying and bringing forward recommendations to change procedures for increased efficiency
- recommending changes or updates to forms/manuals/procedures as required
Qualifications:
- Completed post-secondary education 1-2 year program
- Audit the Foundations of Estate and Trust Administration through STEP or equivalent.
- Two (2) years in trust or financial services industry with experience in administrative capacity.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications i.e. Word
