The Administration department is looking for a dependable individual with a keen eye for detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Does this sound like you? Do you enjoy interacting with people as well as working independently?
Reporting to the Manager of the department, the Mailroom Clerk will provide support for distribution of daily incoming and outbound mail as well as process orders for office supplies.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate inventory record of pamphlets, brochures and office supplies;
- Ensure corporate supply stations are appropriately stocked;
- Prepare incoming and outgoing mail for distribution;
- Provide general administrative duties such as: filing, photocopying, and stamping, opening, reading, sorting, and routing incoming mail; sealing and affixing postage to outgoing mail or packages; and keeping necessary records;
- Mail and sort invoices, claim cheques, and ID cards;
- Complete large mail outs using pre-formatted templates through mail merge.
Qualifications
- Typically one to two years experience;
- Ability to prioritize work activities with initiative and with minimal supervision is necessary;
- Manual dexterity to operate various sorting and postage machines;
- Familiarity with office printers and photocopiers is essential;
- A high school diploma or GED is required;
- Strong attention to detail.
