Description

Elk Ridge Resort invites applications for the position of Executive Chef.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Executive Chef will be responsible for all aspects of food production including two restaurants, banquets, concessions and beverage cart service while maintaining profitability and managing employee productivity.

Duties include:
Exceed guest expectations by creating culinary experiences of the highest quality, consistency and creativity
Manage Food production and inventory for four outlets.
Be committed to lead by example and build an energized team of service oriented professionals by hiring, training and motivating the food service team
Contribute to the overall success of Elk Ridge Resort through strong leadership skills, business acumen, a passion for service excellence and a commitment to creating an exceptional guest experience
Develop, recommend and implement menu improvements, keeping in mind business needs and current trends
Be responsible for rules, regulations and procedures for the kitchen operation and ensure employees comply
Supervise the purchase, storage and rotation of all food and food-related items
Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to develop budgets
Ensure proper control of costs, waste and portions meet budgetary requirements

Requirements:
    Red Seal Certification
    2 - 4 years of experience in a fine dining setting
    Financial management skills
    Clearly demonstrate strong leadership abilities in a team atmosphere
    Effective written and oral communication and problem-solving skills
    Ability to train, coach, mentor and inspire staff members
    Strong leadership, communication (written & verbal), and problem solving skills.
    Relocation to Elk Ridge Resort or the surrounding area
