Description

Duties and responsibilities:
Working under the direction of the Senior Supervisor, the Production Foreperson assists with the successful operation of the Assembly Department by supervising, leading, training, coaching, organizing and setting up work and participates in production.  Duties include:
-    Ensuring timely and accurate production and training
-    Monitoring all on-floor projects
-    Training and supervision of individuals with physical and/or cognitive disabilities
-    Following established processes and procedures to ensure product quality, production efficiency, adequate inventory levels
-    Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety standards are maintained
-    Operation of cargo van and forklift
-    Participation in quarterly inventory counts
Qualifications:
Education:
-    Grade XII or equivalent
-    Valid Drivers License
-    Disability Support Worker Certificate would be a definite asset
-    Current Forklift and 1st Aid/CPR certification would be an asset
Experience:
-    1 year in a production setting
-    Previous Mailroom experience would be an asset
-    Previous experience working with people with disabilities
Skills:
-    Basic computer skills     
-    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-    Ability to multi-task
The final candidates are required to provide satisfactory police record checks
