Alliance Grain Traders Inc., is looking for a Full Time Food Safety Coordinator to join our Regina head office team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Tasks & Abilities
-Conduct food safety audits of all Saskcan factories in Canada to ensure compliance with GMP and HAACP programs in line with ISO 2200/FSSC 22000
-Provide reports to managers recapping all issues of observations and, if needed, corrective actions that should be taken
-Review and implement new HAACP programs, making modifications as necessary to ensure food safety
-Provide technical training to employees at facilities about the food safety program, including food safety and cleaning practices, operational methods and personnel practices, and pest control
-Train employees on GMP and HAACP procedures in line with ISO 2200/FSSC 22000
-Developing and maintaining quality systems, food safety programs, and company and customer driven
-Performing internal audits for quality systems, food safety, sanitation, etc., to ensure compliance with company, government, and customer standards
-Supporting the plant locations in the implantation and maintenance of quality and food safety systems, specifically ISO 22000, FSSC 22000
-Coordinating and performing compliance audits of co-packers and suppliers when required
-Providing training in food safety HACCP, quality systems in ISO/FSCC 22000
-Assisting Group Quality and Food Safety Manager with projects or high priority duties
-Traveling up to 50% of the time
-Ability to work with all levels of management and related HACCP team members
Education & Training (or Combination of)
-B. Sc. in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology or another related field
-Food safety experience or knowledge in a manufacturing environment
-Understanding of food safety systems, including ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, SOP, BRC and IFS, etc.
