Mining Engineering Instructor, La Ronge

Term Full-Time: October 14, 2014 - June 30, 2015
Northlands College is a leading employer in northern Saskatchewan for both instructional and
non-instructional jobs and careers. We have campuses in various communities across the north and have built strong partnerships with agencies and institutions to can provide well-rounded programs and courses.
As part of the instructional team for this program the instructor will provide lecture, lab, and field instruction to students; keep inventory of equipment; organize and supervise student field trips; and participate in course material development. Course expertise is required in the following areas: mining/milling processes, ventilation, ground control, mine safety, mine surveying, mining physics, exploration and mining geology, mathematics, and AutoCAD.
The minimal qualifications for this position are: a Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering;
minimum of ten years of experience in the mining industry including underground experience; and
strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered
Accrediting Institute: Haileybury School of Mines and Northern College - Instructor must meet accreditation requirements.
