Description

Experience or training
Should have experience working with persons who have intellectual and/or physical disabilities. Preference will be given to individuals who have a Rehabilitation Worker Certificate/Diploma or Home Care Aid Certificate. The person should be capable of supervising, instructing, and using various techniques to simplify successful skill acquisition for the participants. A valid drivers license is necessary.

Personal Qualifications
Ability to maintain a professional attitude with participants and co-workers. Humour, creativity, flexibility, willing to try new things, patience, emotional stability, maturity, tactful, energetic, honest, dependable, self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, and compassion are a few qualities required. Must also be able to work independently and/or as a team member. Also be able to work in a one-on-one or group situation.
