ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A CAREER IN HOUSING?

The Technical Services division of Living Skies Housing Authority provides property, program, technical, and operational services and support to the Saskatchewan Housing Authority Network, Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, and the Ministry of Social Services. We are currently hiring for a Housing Inspector for the Saskatoon office.

What youll do:
conduct building inspections to new & existing housing; identify hazardous substances, and coordinate their mitigation;
coordinate the building repair process and conduct building analysis;
use your in depth knowledge of the legislation and regulations that pertain to building standards to ensure regulatory compliance for new housing delivery, housing authorities, and for tenant health & safety;
remain current in new and emerging construction technologies, energy conservation, and environmental programs and procedures as they relate to housing.

What were looking for:
knowledge in property management practices and principles as it relates to maintenance and modernization of facilities;
knowledge in product standards, specifications, residential, and commercial building practices and principles;
understand structural, architectural, mechanical, and electric building systems.

What youll need:
Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering Technology diploma;
Several years of project management and building construction experience; or an equivalent combination of education & experience;
Strong analytical skills relating to building sciences.
