Our client is looking for a 3rd Class Power Engineer to join their team.
Location
This position is located in a growing city known as Yorkton, Saskatchewan. With the motto "Where good things happen", Yorkton has lots to offer. The agriculture based city is home to an entertainment complex where activities such as swimming and curling can be enjoyed. Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must have a 3rd Class Boiler/Power Engineer Inter-provincial Ticket paired with 3-5 years experience.
Responsibilities
Operating the steam supply boilers, the deodorizer High Pressure Fired Heat Exchange, and the deodorizer vacuum system refrigeration equipment
Operating the waste water treatment plant
Monitoring and controlling the chemical treatment of all inbound and outbound water streams including the cooling towers
Operating all equipment associated with these processes in a safe and efficient manner following all regulations
Making regular checks and logging inspection of equipment
Reporting any damage or other maintenance needs while assisting with routine maintenance
Ensuring that standard operating procedures are followed, company standards are met and plan efficiencies are optimized
Overseeing the safe and efficient startup, shutdown, and normal operation of all assigned processes and equipment in their work area
