Preferences will be given to applicants who:
-Demonstrate a mechanical aptitude
-Demonstrate diligence, strong work ethic, and pride in workmanship
-Perform minor interior and exterior repairs/maintenance
-Perform daily cleaning, dusting, washing, polishing and scrubbing
-Demonstrate an interest in students and in education
-Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
-Display energy, initiative, and enthusiasm
-Maintain a positive attitude, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with students, staff, parents, the general public and school division personnel
-Maintain confidentiality and use discretion in all instances

Desired Qualifications:
-Grade X minimum
-Minimum Fireman?s Certificate, Refrigeration Engineer preferred
-Ability to deal tactfully and cooperatively with public, students, staff
-Minimum of 1-year experience in building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical systems
-Good mechanical ability with strong capabilities in the area of troubleshooting
-Strong background and knowledge of safe workplace practices
-Proficient in the use of all hand tools and equipment
-Good physical condition
