Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for the following duties:
Responsibilities include:
Must be able to specify, install, program, troubleshoot, de-bug and repair mill process measurement / control instrumentation.
Must be able to produce and / or update documentation related to the above as required.
Must have strong communication skills, with an ability to clearly communicate directly to other departments and department personnel.
Should show initiative in improving or suggesting ways of improving the methods and strategies used to measure and control the mill processes.
Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
Instrumentation Engineering Technology diploma.
Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician certificate or Industrial Maintenance experience are assets.
Solid working knowledge of DCS systems, PLCs, SMART field devices, Windows based application software.
Fisher- Rosemount, Delta V, Device Net, Modicon PLC experience or training preferred.
Strong troubleshooting abilities.
Willingness and ability to work independently, as well as, part of a team.
Must have a positive working relationship with supervisors and fellow staff.
Must be willing to work day / night shift work
Work Location & Schedule: McClean Lake, Friday travel day, 7 in / 7 out 77 hours/week
Travel day may change depending on operational needs.
Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region (Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac and Wollaston).
