We are currently recruiting for an Associate Business Development Representative in the Saskatchewan Region. This is a junior level sales opportunity for someone who desires to become a sales professional. Black & McDonald will train, coach and mentor the appropriate candidate to ensure long term success in new business development.
Candidate will be assigned a geographical or vertical market and will be responsible for prospecting potential new clients in the assigned market. Training and assistance will be provided in uncovering needs, providing solutions and entering into service agreements with new clients.
Responsibilities:
Researching, cold calling and setting up meetings with potential clients
Meet with and develop impressionable relationships with potential clients
Assess potential client needs and resources and recommend the appropriate solution
Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner
Develop reports and proposals as part of sales presentation to potential clients
Prepare sales contracts under the direction of the Sales Team
Price the agreement according to the company pricing standards
Prepare start-up documents for set up and attend start up meetings with new clients
Continue personal professional development
Participate in department planning meetings
Keep internal database up to date with sales activities
Employment Requirements:
Determination and ambition as cold calling is a significant amount of your daily effort
Past sales experience would be considered an asset
Experience working in the trades would be considered an asset
Business or Marketing education would be considered an asset
1-3 years experience in sales and preparing proposals or contracts
Excellent verbal and written communication
Organizational and time-management skills
Excellent customer service skills
Availability to travel
