The Regina Open Door Society Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to staff the permanent full time day position of Work Placement and Mentorship Facilitator. The start date for this position is October 20, 2014.
Required qualifications/education
o Bachelors degree
o Training and experience in employment counselling and/or instruction
o Experience in work placement and mentorship facilitation
o Experience working with newcomers to Canada including those with limited English language skills
o Strong leadership and problem solving skills
o Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration and organization skills
o Proven accountability, resourcefulness, initiative, and professionalism
o Recognized ability to work cooperatively in a cross-cultural setting
Desired qualifications
o Strong technological skills; ability to provide computer assisted language training and to use a database
o Facility in more than one language
Job description -- Position Summary
The Work Placement and Mentorship Facilitator will arrange and support work placements and mentorships to assist newcomers in becoming successful in the Canadian workplace. This will include developing a good working relationship with local employers.
Hours of work
Monday Friday (8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.) with an EDO every second week.
All positions at RODS require a clean criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check.
