The Regina Open Door Society Inc. is seeking qualified individuals to staff the permanent full time day position of Resource Room Facilitator/Employment Counsellor. The start date for this position is October 20, 2014.
Required qualifications/education
o Bachelors degree
o Training and experience in employment counselling
o Strong technological skills; ability to provide computer assisted language training and to use a database
o Experience working with newcomers to Canada including those with limited English language skills
o Strong leadership and problem solving skills
o Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration and organization skills
o Proven accountability, resourcefulness, initiative, and professionalism
o Recognized ability to work cooperatively in a cross-cultural setting
Job description -- Position Summary
The Resource Centre Facilitator/Employment Counselor will provide individual and small group employment counseling to newcomers to Canada including taking responsibility for supervising the Resource Centre and providing support to clients using the facilities there.
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.), with an EDO every second week.
All positions at RODS require a clean criminal record including a vulnerable sector check.
