Description

Our Regina, Saskatchewan based client is looking for a Mainframe Application Developer for a 3 year (Split) contract role in Regina.

Qualifications  Mandatory Requirements

    Minimum of five (5) years of experience in mainframe application development.
    Minimum of five (5) years of experience administering a mainframe environment.
    The candidate must be willing and able to participate in an on-call rotation (On-call for approximately 1 week in a 4 week rotation).

Qualifications  Other Requirements

    Experience working with best practice application development methodologies.
    Experience with mainframe environment configuration, security configuration and administration including service pack installation and package build/deployment is required.
    Previous working experience with quality processes such as requirements reviews, design reviews, and code reviews.
    Previous working experience developing and implementing testing strategies.
    Previous working experience with and a strong knowledge of database technologies.
    Demonstrable knowledge of PeopleSoft software as it interfaces with payments systems.
    Significant working experience with and knowledge of the following tools/technologies:
o    Adabas
o    Natural
o    EasyTrieve and Vision Builder
o    Z-O/S-JCL/Utilities
o    TSO
    Demonstrable experience with formal project management methodologies such as processes, standards, documentation and providing work breakdowns/tasks and accurate estimates.
    Strong communication skills including communicating technical jargon to non-technical people.
    Work well in a team environment.
