Description

Under the supervision of the Executive Director and the Director Of Programs, the Program Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination and implementation of appropriate programs for children and youth as required in keeping with the core values of Boys and Girls Club of Canada as well as focusing on key issues and priorities of our community.

The Program Supervisors duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
    Ensure that the Battlefords Boys & Girls Club provides a safe and caring environment that promotes positive child and youth development, relationships and mentoring opportunities for children and youth.
    Supervision of staff, volunteers and program participants as well as the overall implementation of programs for children 6-14.
    To take a leading role in all Club special events and fundraisers throughout the year, including development support, event coordination, implementation and follow up requirements.
    Assist the Director Of Programs in the maintenance of information for the effective operation of programs and reporting requirements, including statistical data, financial information, membership documentation and report preparation as required.
    Ensure program facilities and grounds are well maintained and clean at the completion of each program and at days end.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Willingness to learn and grow in your position
    Knowledge, experience and/or education of program planning and development, coordination and implementation
    Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles
    Knowledge of computers and related experience with Microsoft software
    Skill in organizing work for self and others
    Ability to be creative and flexible
    Ability to problem solve and make decisions
    Strong leadership and team qualities
    Ability to work well with limited supervision
    Effective communication skills both orally and written
