Description

Regina Transition House is seeking a mature individual to fill the role of Domestic Violence Counsellor (DVC). We offer staff training, and an opportunity to be part of well-established organization working to eliminate abuse towards women and children in our society.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday; 7:15 am to 3 pm with every second Friday off.  Some additional training hours may be required.  
                    
Position Description:
DVCs  are responsible for the well-being and safety of the women and children staying at the shelter, for implementing services and programs provided by Transition House, maintaining appropriate client confidentiality, providing support counselling, advocacy, information, referral and transportation, assisting with household operations and  maintenance, ensuring resident families protection and carrying out administrative functions.  DVCs provide practical support to members of the community who are seeking safety or information.
