Description

Sure Architectural Technician is a bit of a tongue twister, but our Tech position is no laughing matter. We design it and we build it, right here in Saskatoon. That means youll have an opportunity to see your ideas become reality  thats what you wanted when you got into this field of work, isnt it? We can help you see the designs you work on come to life, but first well need your help getting all our ideas on paper. Your creative prowess will be complimented by a keen ability to bend and wield lines using AutoCAD.

Qualifications
Architectural Technician Diploma
Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
Significant experience using AutoCAD
Knowledge of the National Building Code, City Bylaws and Zoning
Knowledge of other codes (fire, plumbing, etc)
Experience drafting and designing
Experience with interior, exterior and landscaping design
Strong understanding and interest in the residential construction industry
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong mathematical skills and experience with estimates, analysis, quotes and takeoffs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Administrative and organizational skills
Demonstrated professionalism or experience communicating with all levels of government (i.e., civic planning departments, etc).

Responsibilities
Work alongside engineering and design teams and consultant firms to complete designs in a timely manner
Provide drafting and design support to multiple projects at one time
Help ensure team is able to meet competing deadlines for tenders, RFPs, etc by providing technical and administrative support as required
Make drafting and design adjustments quickly and efficiently
Knowledge of the National Building Code, City Bylaws and Zoning
