Responsibilities will include quality inspection of outside plant including fiber placement and splicing. Creating take offs from customer construction drawings, completing asbuilts from construction drawings. QA fiber test results. Assisting subcontractors when require for project completing. Communication with our AFL team and customer with schedule updates.
Skills/Requirements:
Required Skills/Knowledge:
-Management/Supervisory skills.
Computer skill:
- CAD, Adobe, Excel, MS Word, MS Project.
-Drafting skills.
-Familiar with fiber FTTH design practices.
-Familiar with fiber test equipment and ability to operate OTDR, power meter and ruby light.
-Knowledge of telecom, outside plant construction practices.
-Familiar with reading and understanding plant maps.
Education, Experience,Qualifications and Desired Skills:
-Minimum of five years in the telecom industry.
-Fiber splicing experience.
-FTTH fiber design experience.
**Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
