Weatherford Canada, Production Optimization, is a leader in the design, manufacturing, and deployment of Production Optimization Products and Services, is recruiting for a Field Service Technician/ Electrician for our team in Estevan, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will either possess a journeyman electrician ticket, be a registered electrical apprentice or a recent graduate from a recognized post-secondary educational institute in electrical technology or a related program.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Test, install, program and repair Variable Frequency Drives, Rod Pump Controllers, Clearwell and other electrical and electronic devices in field.
Troubleshooting of Production Optimization systems and related electrical equipment.
Maintaining existing process for Production Optimization systems and development of continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
Journeyman Electrician or Registered Electrical Apprentice or recent graduate from the Electrical engineering technologist program from post-secondary educational institute
Previous knowledge and experience with Variable Frequency Drives and high voltage systems would be an asset.
Previous experience with Artificial Lift Systems is considered an asset.
Capability of travel throughout Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Demonstrated computer skills/ ability to operate laptop computer system
Valid class 5 operators license in good standing
Capability of working overtime and weekends as required
Effective communicator with customers/ fellow employees
Being able to work in a team environment
Valid passport required or capability of obtaining a passport for travel is required.
