Finance Clerk.
CLASSIFICATION: PERMANENT FULL TIME
JOB SUMMARY: The Finance Clerk is a support position in the Finance Department and is supervised by the Finance Director. The Finance Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all business transactions by inputting data and maintaining an accurate filing system, assists with auditing requirements, issues receipts and general office procedures that include; answering the phones, sorting cheque stubs and other related duties as assigned. The Finance clerk is responsible for advising Finance Director of any irregularities within the financial position and/or financial practices of the Band and/or Entities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have the knowledge and ability to operate a PC computer and be able to input data into automated system and be familiar with the following software: ACCPAC PLUS, Excel and Microsoft Word.
Must have the knowledge of effective office procedures, techniques, and data processing.
Knowledge of First Nation Government Operations would be an asset.
Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and possess the ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision.
Must submit a criminal record check along with resume.
