Description

Reporting to the Dyad Leadership, Director of Laboratory Medicine and the Joint Head, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine the Manager is primarily accountable for the development and operation of an integrated, quality, patient centered laboratory service. The Manager functions as an integral member of the Laboratory Management Team and is responsible for participation in strategic planning, identifying budget requirements, recruitment and performance of technical and support staff, creating and sustaining a healthy work environment, establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders. The incumbent will work in co-operation with Medical Division Heads, in the Saskatoon Health Region dyad leadership model, to define the structure and implement a clear vision for the integrated service and with other laboratory managers in the overall management of the Department. The manager is responsible and accountable for the integrated functions, management and testing activities for the Division of Microbiology region wide.
