Description

Habitat for Humanity Regina is a non-profit organization that works to break the cycle of poverty through affordable homeownership for low income, hard-working families.  
Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating an integrated fundraising program and building a case for ongoing support of the organizations mission.  In collaboration with other key staff, including marketing, volunteer coordinator, build department and the executive, the incumbent will oversee the management and stewardship of all existing donor relationships of gifts over $5,000 and is expected to identify, cultivate and solicit new major donor prospects, including Gift In Kind donors.  The fundraising goal for this position will be $1.5M to help us achieve our growth strategy in 2015.

Primary responsibilities include:
    Responsible for soliciting gifts over $5,000 including Gift In Kind donations
    Develop and execute any and all capital campaigns
    Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle:
- Initiate contacts with potential leadership and major gift donors
- Develop appropriate cultivation strategies for them, including working with volunteers
- Make solicitations when appropriate
- Maintain stewardship contacts with donors
    Play an active role on the HFHR Fundraising Committee
    Overall responsibility for the maintenance and administration of the NewOrg database
    
Qualifications
    A university or college degree with five or more years of fundraising experience in progressive fundraising roles
    Have a proven track record of fundraising success at the major gift level
    Have middle or senior management experience on a successful capital campaign
    Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to present the case for support to executive level audiences
    Be professional, ethical, accountable, and have the enthusiasm and drive to build relationships and deliver results
