The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman Certificate with a recognized provincial training authority and have knowledge of Commercial/Institutional/Industrial construction and practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety. The Carpenter will have training and knowledge of construction safety practices (Valid SCOT/CSTS).
This role requires a self starter with ability to work well in a team environment or independently in the absence of supervision, good organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively work in a diverse team. The ability to operate required tools and equipment in a safe, quick, and productive manner without error and consistently meet the production goals as set by the Foreman, Superintendent or Project Manager is essential.
