Job Description for the Watershed Manager
Carrot River Valley Watershed Association

Summary:
The Watershed Manager will be responsible for caring out the Associations policies and the day to day operation of the Association.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1.     Communications:
    Will keep the Board informed of proposed projects.
    Serve as the liaison with the various funding agencies and key stakeholders
    Be responsible for formulating newsletters and publications which includes news paper articles, radio ads, attending radio and television interviews.
    Organize field days and conferences which are relevant to the objectives of the organization.

2.    Finances:
    Prepare the annual budget and annual reports.
    Prepare funding proposals.
    Manage funding from all funding agencies to related projects.
    Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the financial records which includes the administration of the bookkeeping, bill payments and deposits.  

3.    Administration:
    Prepare and present information, bill payments, and correspondence for all board meetings.  The Watershed Manager shall also prepare information for Committee meetings.
    Attend all board and committee meetings and maintain complete and accurate minutes, of which shall be kept in a Minute Book and in a secure place.
    Maintains and organizes all files and records.
    Oversee the programming of the organization.

4.    Membership:
    Shall meet with existing members.
    Attend meetings to recruit new members.

5.    Fundraising and Projects:
    Shall write proposals and apply for funding where/when available.  The Watershed Manager shall be responsible for the signing of the applications.
    Shall assist the CRW AEGP BMP Technician when required.

6.    Staffing:
    When staff positions become available, initiate the advertising of the position and assist the personnel committee members during the interview process.
