As the agency's chief representative and administrative officer, the Executive Director is responsible for the effective stewardship, operational direction and service delivery of the Centre. S/he advises the Board of Directors on issues relative to policy, procedure and governance. S/he leads the implementation of the Centre's strategic and operational plans, establishes positive and beneficial relationships with a broad spectrum of stakeholders and community leaders and supervises the work of staff to ensure that the Centre's goals and objectives are met. Where necessary, the Executive Director provides counselling to survivors of sexual assault and acts as a professional resource to staff.
KNOWLEDGE BASE: Fundamentals of business management, human resource management, budgeting and statistical reporting; Fundamentals of NGO fundraising and sourcing grants-in-aid; Significant familiarity with sexual assault and violence issues; Principles of marketing and service delivery in social services sector; Fundamentals of adult education, public speaking and public relations; Theory/practice of counselling children and adults; The legal and medical processes relating to sexual assault; Saskatchewan legal and social service systems and legislation; Significant familiarity with sexual assault and violence issues; Computer literacy and familiarity with Windows7/Office.
