The School Secretary/Library Clerk position involves coordinating the office and library duties within a school of 38, K-9 students. The successful candidate would work closely with the administrative team and the professional and support staff within the school. Assigned duties for this position will include maintaining the school accounting system, maintaining and building upon the library inventory, clerical, reception, purchasing, attendance, library duties and other duties as assigned. Experience and/or a post-secondary diploma in accounting, office education, or Library tech could be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will:
-possess exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
-have a strong background in library functions
-have a strong background with accounting/bookkeeping
-be experienced with computers for word processing, data base, spreadsheets (Excel), accounting, and publishing applications
-be familiar with general office procedures
-be familiar with telephone protocol
-have experience working with children
This is a half-time temporary position to begin as soon as possible until June 30, 2015. The annual salary for this position ranges from $28,116 to $41,732 depending upon training and experience.
