Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Night Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, directing work, tracking performance and ensuring a safe working environment for warehouse staff. Other responsibilities include: Ensure orders are picked accurately and monitored accordingly; Ensure safety policies, procedures and preferred work methods are adhered to by warehouse personnel; Ensure our customers are receiving superior customer service; Complete all available actions to minimize risk of accidents or injuries, and take action on duties that compromise Syscos standards; Provide scheduling and supervision of warehouse personnel, including coaching and motivation of employees; Track and report performance of warehouse staff; Conduct regular evaluations of direct reporting associates; and perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager.

Candidate Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, supervisors and managers; Strong time management skills with the ability to independently plan, organize and coordinate multiple tasks and projects; Excellent organizational and leadership skills; Strong working knowledge of computer applications; Ability to deal with sensitive personnel issues in a confidential manner; Ability to learn and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures; Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment, is considered an asset; Shows attention to detail and accuracy; Exhibits strong analytical and decision making skills; Completed Grade 12, preference will be given to those that have a relevant post-secondary education; and exposure to warehouse management systems considered an asset but not a necessity.

The successful candidate will be required to work nights Sunday through Thursday.
