Description

Weyburn Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for an innovative and experienced financial service professional. This newly created position will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible to work with the executive team to establish current and long-range objectives, plans, and policies for the Credit Union.

As a Vice-President, you will use your business acumen, industry experience, and people management skills to lead the Compliance and Risk division of the organization ensuring strong compliance, governance, and risk management practices are in place to build a financially strong and profitable organization.

Qualifications:
- University degree in a business or risk management related field.
- 4 - 6 years of job related experience in a management/senior role or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to those candidates with related experience in the Credit Union system or financial services industry.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, mentor, and motivate a team of compliance and risk professionals. A minimum of three years' experience managing people is a requirement.
- Solid knowledge of the compliance, corporate governance, and risk management requirements associated with the Credit Union system and/or financial services industry.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral, in order to present complex information in a way that can be easily understood.
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with staff, members, and community.
