Description

Join a winning team in our Belle Plaine Facility in the heart of the prairies, between Moose Jaw and Regina. Our facility has 45 employees dedicated to safety, quality and customer service.

The Challenge

Ensure consistent quality of our products by developing and enforcing various Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and production sample analysis in respect of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)

Responsibilities

    Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as particle size and chemical characteristics. Selects and tests package material and ingredients for adherence to specifications.
    Monitors all in process salt and finished goods for quality compliance to the Product Data Sheets (PDS) including the disposition of non-conforming product.
    Performs Good Manufacturing Practices/Sanitation Inspections on a monthly basis. This includes a Sanitation Audit and a Glass Audit.
    Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Prepares graphs or charts of data and enters data into computer for analysis.
    Prepares sample requests.
    Perform non-regular QA related duties as requested by the QA Manager.

Requirements :

    Minimum Associate of Science Degree
    3 to 4 years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
    Practical knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and operation of test equipment such as Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AA).
    Proficiency in algebra and mathematics
    Statistical Process Control (SPC) knowledge an asset
