Description

Air Medical Crew  Paramedics Saskatoon
2 positions:
One position is a 0.6 FTE
Second position is either 0.3 or 0.6 FTE (TBD)

The Registered Paramedic reports to the Clinical Operations Manager and works with a team of highly skilled medical providers specializing in the care of critically ill and injured patients.  The Registered Paramedic works with a registered Nurse, supplemented with the presence of a Transport Physician either in person or on-line, to provide high quality care and service, which includes rapid response assessment, intervention, and safe transport of critically ill or injured patients of all ages from the scene of an accident or during inter-facility transfer.  This service is provided twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days per week.

You have a minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience working in a critical care environment.  You are a certified Advanced Care Paramedic or a graduate from a level 3 CMA Accredited Paramedic Program.  You are currently licensed and practicing in the Province of Saskatchewan and have a valid CPR certificate.  You have current STARS Advanced Skills Institute (ASI) certifications and your quarterly requirements are in good standing (for internal applicants) or you have equivalent certifications including ACLS, ITLS, and PALS.  Instructor status or graduate of the STARS Critical Care and Transport Medicine Academy is considered and asset to your career.  Basic to intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office applications supplemented by your experience with data bases are among your core competencies.  You live in or are willing to relocate to Saskatoon.
